The distinct sound of paper rustled echoed through the air. The tall, slim professor was sitting on her desk in front of portrait, listening to its speech. A large stack of ungraded papers was behind her, neglected. A small white tiger cub was lying on a thick blanket, chewing on a bone. The room was lit by several floating candles, the wax disappearing into nothing as soon as it trailed down the sides of the candles.
Silver eyes watched the balding figure within the frame, feigning interest. He was currently telling the story of how he supposedly fought off a coven of vampires. Really, it wasn't that entertaining, as he kept forgetting his place, and starting over, but if it kept her from having to grade papers, it was worth it. Her raven hair was pulled back from her pretty face, revealing her high cheekbones and long eyelashes surrounding the unique eyes.
"And I said to them..." The man was saying, before starting once and drifting asleep. With a sigh, Tilani pushed herself off of her desk. Now she had no more distractions.

Walking down the hall, her feet tapping on the solid wood floor, Headmaster Wolfheart thought about everything that had been happening. Nothing interesting at all. School was going fine, everyone was attending classes, an except for the occaisonal behavioral problem, all was calm and quiet. She thought back to the happenings of school in her day; why, every other day, something exciting happened. She missed the excitement.
Standing near the door to Professor Virtanen's classroom, she heard the mind-numbing voice of the professor. Even she was slightly bored with his monotone voice, but she didn't want to disturb him or Professor Virtanen, so she stayed put until she heard the voice drift away as the old professor in the painting fell asleep. She rapped her knuckles a couple of times on the door and gently pushed it open. "Professor Virtanen," She said. Unsure of what else to say, she said, "So, is class going well?"

Tilani looked up in the direction of her door when a series of soft knocks echoed through the large room. The familiar face of Professor Wolfheart appeared as a polite smile appeared on the fellow professor's face. The slim professor hopped back onto the desk, pushing the abandoned papers back further into hiding. She obviously did not want to do anything of a teacherly sort. Procrastination.
"Iluna, how are you?" She greeted before answering the Headmaster's question. "Very well, I think. I have the standard troublemakers, but that's too be expected. Nearly blew up the room when a sixth year accidentally fired off the wrong spell, but some scratches on the walls are that stay." She smiled ruefully, bringing up memories of which she had been in school. She was quite the trouble-maker, if I do say so myself. “But anyways, what can I help you with?” She smiled encouragingly.
Tilani barely started when the soft fur of Fubuki brushed across her ankles. The small cub sat down at her mistress’s feet and looked up at the unknown lady with startlingly blue eyes. Fubuki ‘mrrow’d, obviously wanting to be picked up. With a soft laugh, Tilani scooped up her unique pet and placed the tiger on her lap, rubbing the rounded ear affectionately.

Iluna nodded. "Fine, thanks," She replied. "Students will be students." She watched the tiger cub affectionately. "What an adorable tiger," She murmured. Straightening back up, she said, "Am I alone in this, or... do you sometimes get the feeling that something's going to happen soon? Something bad?" A chill trickled down her spine at the thought. Someone, somehow, was going to try to make the school a bit more interesting for themself and other students. But what would it be, and how far would they go with whatever it was? She couldn't help but wonder what might happen.
((Sorry, short ))

(Its fine, don't worry. >.>)
Tilani scratched Fubuki affectionately behind the ears once more before placing her down on the floor and looking at the headmistress. "No, you aren't the only one. I, too, am feeling an ominous feeling." She agreed, glancing out her window as she spoke. Just as the air was thick with apprehension and wariness, the clouds outside seemed a dull, dakr gray that swirled angrily. Tilani was half-expecting dementors to come soaring out of the clouds, bringing with them their cloud of despair and unhappiness. Hidden inside her robe, her slim hand clutched her wand defensively.
(Not so good either, lol.)

Illyria nodded, and with a small sigh, the headmaster stared out of the window. The storm clouds roiled madly in the air, as though caught in some arcane vortex. She would know if there was indeed magic involed; however, it was just a storm brewing. In more than one way, She thought ominously. "It will be time for your class soon," Illyria said to the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. With a glance at the papers stacked on the desk, she added, "I apologize if I have held you up from grading papers. Good luck with class today." The headmaster then walked out of the classroom, shuttin the door gently behind her. The sense of foreboding made her shiver again, and she realized it wasn't just the forboding; it was physically cold. She podered this as she made her way back to her office.
